Can't Adopt Another Pet? That's OK. We take donations! Drop them off at the event or visit our office!

Homes for Dogs Project will be on site to for dogs to be adopted.

This year’s Holidazzle event, formerly known as Festival of Angels, promises to get you into the holiday spirit as we kick off the season with a full day of yuletide cheer. 

8:00 AM - 1:30 PM (8:00, 9:30, 11:00, 12:30) 

Santa’s elves are cooking away to bring you a magical Breakfast with Santa. Warm and delicious pancakes will be served, and St. Nick himself will be present to take pictures. Breakfast with Santa will be in the Civic Center Bluebonnet Hall, 1400 Schertz Parkway Bldg 5. The first breakfast shift will begin at 8:00 AM. Space is limited and registration is required. Tickets go on sale November 1. Tickets are $10.00 and can be purchased at the Parks and Recreation Office, 10 Commercial Place, Bldg 1.  

8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

It’s time to get your holiday shopping done! Kris Kringle’s Market will offer a unique shopping experience with vendors set up in the Civic and Community Centers.

12:00 - 8:00 PM

The weather outside might not be frightful in south Texas, but the snow sure will be plentiful. We’re bringing an ice skating rink to City Hall where people of all ages and skill levels can glide with glee! Complimentary skate rentals provided. 

This event is sure to provide plenty of great photo opportunities, including the chance to climb inside a giant snow globe! We’ll even have a snow angel play area.

1:00 - 5:30 PM

We want to bring out the holly jolly spirit of Schertz. Several local entertainment groups will bring sounds of the season throughout this event including area bands and dance groups. Entertainment will begin at 1:00 PM at the stage located in the City Complex. 

6:00 PM

Lights, lights, lights! The community favorite lighted night parade will dazzle the crowds lined along Schertz Parkway. The parade kicks off at 6:00 PM and travels along Oak Street to Main Street, down Schertz Parkway and onto Community Circle Drive.  

 The Greater Randolph Area Veterans Council (GRAVC) is proud to continue the tradition of Universal City's Annual Veterans Parade, on Saturday, November 4, 2017 starting at 10:30 AM. The 47th Annual Universal City Veterans Parade is the oldest continuous Veterans Parade in the San Antonio area and the City is proud to honor veterans of all United States wars. This parade has been host to more than 40 groups participating in the parade, including various military groups, police & fire departments, schools, and local businesses and organizations. The viewing stand will be located located in the Randolph Plaza Shopping Center parking lot but spectators are welcome to gather all along the Pat Booker Road route to enjoy the parade. The City is looking forward to another successful event next year, so please make plans to come out and celebrate with us!

In 2018, to honor the 50th Anniversary of the City’s incorporation, a year of activities was held. Since, the City continues in celebration with SchertzQue: a true celebration of our area’s history.

RWUSA Sole purpose of the creation of the event was to bring to light the danger of ILLEGAL STREET RACING. Is why we have dedicated the event to bringing awareness to keeping it safe and fun, allowing anyone with the need for speed to take it to a controlled track and battle heads up versus others just like them

With now near 20k attendees total 3 years, those who have been to a RWUSA event immediately ask for a return date, as it becomes now part of their yearly routine and an event to look forward to. This Lifestyle event is jam packed with entertainment that you won't be able to get a chance to sleep while you wait for awards.
